1 · What this service is
bestplayer.lol lets you pay to place a bid on a footballer's name. Bids are added to a public total and that total determines the name's position in a list on this website. That is the whole service. It is entertainment: it produces a list and nothing else.
2 · What you are buying
You are buying the placement of a bid. You are not buying a prize, a chance of a prize, a token, an asset, a share, a right over the footballer's name, or any goods. The position a bid earns can be lost at any time when somebody bids more, and losing it does not entitle you to anything.
3 · No prizes, no gambling
There is no prize, draw, lottery, reward, payout, cash-out or transferable value of any kind, and there never will be while this service works this way. Nothing you pay can come back to you or to anyone else in money or in kind.
4 · Prices and payment
Prices are shown per bid, in US dollars, before payment. Payment is taken by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. A bid is placed only once the payment is confirmed. If a payment fails, no bid is placed.
5 · Right of withdrawal, and your waiver of it
A paid bid is a digital service that we provide immediately and in full. Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract; for immediately-provided digital services that right is lost if you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge losing it. We therefore ask you to tick that waiver at checkout, and we will not place a bid without it. We record the exact wording, the language and the time, and we will give you a copy on request. If you are a consumer outside the EU your local rules may differ; ask us.
6 · No refunds
Because of section 5, bids are final and non-refundable once placed. This does not affect your statutory rights where they cannot be waived — if we fail to deliver what you paid for (for example, we take the money and no bid appears), write to us and we will fix it or refund it.
7 · Adding players
You may add a footballer's name and team. Do not add anyone who is not a footballer, anyone under 18, offensive content, advertising, or anything that impersonates a real person's own voice or endorsement. We can hide any entry at any time, without notice and without a refund of bids already placed on it — the money stays recorded, the entry simply stops being shown.
8 · The footballers
The people named here are not customers, partners, participants or endorsers of this service. Names and clubs are used descriptively as factual references. We publish no photographs, portraits, likenesses, crests or club logos. If you are a named person or their representative and you want an entry removed, write to us and we will remove it.
9 · No accounts
There are no accounts. Your bids are tied to a cookie in your browser. If you lose that cookie you lose the ability to see your own history — the bids remain on the board, because they are public. We cannot restore a lost session.
10 · Availability and changes
This is a small website and it can go down. We may change or end the service; if we ever shut it down, no bid gives you a claim to anything. We will not retroactively reorder the board: the ledger of bids is immutable.
